Cheeky Monkeys!

Woke to some slightly improved weather today so packed the rucksacks and left base camp with the beach in mind. After stopping in Portmadog for some supplies, childhood memories came flooding back and we ended up at the harbour.

It was nice to just sit back and relax watching the boys pretending to be sailors, hopping from dingy to dingy as the tide ebbed away. Then it was on to the beach at Blackrock to have a splash in the sea. With the wind gusting in from the sea we took refuge in the car and sat back with our ice creams watching the world go by.

Back at camp another 'one pot' pasta was cooked up along with some tasty sausages from the bbq and a sneaky can of the cold stuff for daddy. Happy days!
