Is it a bird?

Not quite, wings of a different sort, but related to our activity this morning. The green against the beautiful blue of the sky appealed to me.
Kalula.com is one of our domestic airlines, and was taking off from Lanseria, which adjoins the farm we were on today.

This morning we joined our bird club group for the monthly mid-week outing. The venue was at Northern Farm to the north of Johannesburg.
It was a very pleasant and enjoyable outing, during which we recorded 105 species of birds:- 6 Raptors - Fish Eagle, Long-crested Eagle, Steppe Buzzard, Black-shouldered Kite, Yellow-billed Kite and Black-chested Snake-eagle; 5 Kingfisher species and 5 Swallow species in our total.

Definitely a morning well spent and enjoyed.
