Any thoughts??

These trees are in full bloom in many suburbs around Johannesburg at present, but I am so far unable to identify them.

The leaves look very Eucalypt like, and the flowers almost Banksia like.

Have browsed the above, as well as wattle species, but so far no joy.

I am quite certain it is not indigenous to S. Africa

Any suggestions?

Perhaps a visit to a knowledgeable nurseryman is called for.
