End Of Day
Sitting by the roadside in Godalming, this was the first time in a long while that I finished after dark. It's always a feature of this time of year - going on from here nights get longer and workload gets heavier through the winter season I start to miss the daylight and on murky days I start to wonder what it would be like to live somewhere like Mehamn (Northern Norway - Europe's Northernmost town apparently) where the sun actually doesn't rise for 2 Months if the year. Guess I'm missing the summer a bit at the moment ;) This was taken around 8pm while I was running the 'end of day' programmes on the laptop so I could close up and head for home and played around for ages with the colours, splashing various bits and reducing saturation. But eventually even the contrast of the cold blue screen light on my face and the warmer yellow sodden street and car lighting did little to enhance the image so BW wins again.
