Waiting for Godot
Live in Lancashire. work in Manchester, occasionally have to go to London to justify the NHS to a lot of tossers in Westmisnster. Today was such a day. Long day, short blip. long bath calling! This is Piccadilly, Manchester as I was waiting for 7.30 train. And the Samuel Becket thoughts are more aimed at politicians than railwaymen, who I think are generally wonderful. My Dad was one for 44 years and I adore the smell. sound and life of everything stations. He would have been 81 today but lost him last year, so maybe this was a fitting way to spend the day.
I like the orangeyness of the light coming through the roof lights and the workers jacket. And mostly, the stillness before the buzz of crowds.
