Life on the Good Intent

I was wakened by two sparring robins this morning, just before the rain started.
And it rained and rained but it forced me to drink coffee and read. I'm re- reading the Crow Road by Iain Banks, one of my favourites.
I walked along Marblehill Beach in the rain and drove back to Dunfanaghy for lunch in the Starfish cafe. Excellent soup and coffee cake.
The rain stopped late afternoon and I took advantage of the light to play with my graduated neutral density filters - still a work in progress. I walked along the Back Strand near Falcaragh and took a lot of shots. The ones with people looked good in the camera till I realised that walking figures become ghost like in a three second exposure.
Brendan and Marina asked me in to watch Dances with Wolves with them and share a glass of wine.
I love their generous hospitality, so kind after a long busy season running the campsite, hostel and B&B.
The moon is out now and the rain a fine drizzle, hopefully better weather but today was hard to better.
