Mummy

Chrysanthemum
Mums are like the divas of the autumn garden. They liven up the fading summer gardens and are available in so many colors. They love to ‘show off’ with their bright colors and long lasting blooms. The blooms last for weeks not just days.
I was picking my grandson up from kindergarten and while waiting for his class to come out of the building I noticed this beautiful chrysanthemum plant. I like the way it sort of fell onto the fieldstone that was full of moss. It had a lot of texture and color going on and it was calling out to be Blipped.
In other news, I had art class today and finished another watercolor that I hope to blip tomorrow when it’s dry and matted. It’s very satisfying to go through the process of creating something from nothing.
I’m also hosting my book club luncheon next week so I’m trying to get the house is a festive, fall mode. I’m having fun planning it and hope it all comes together okay. I’ve been to so many really nice get-togethers with my fellow book club members and I look forward to being able to take my turn being the hostess.

It was pretty gray all day today and even the moon was playing peek-a-boo with the clouds tonight. Tomorrow there is a chance of rain so I don’t expect it will be much better. Time to drag out the light.
