My friend Nathan and his girlfriend Ruth just got a new kitten. I haven't seen Nathan since July and I'd never met Ruth, so Nathan invited me round to dinner tonight.

It was such a nice evening. Ruth is just lovely and an amazing cook - Nathan is a lucky boy! She made a delicious smoked salmon risotto with salad, followed by peach crumble and ice cream. I'm wondering if I can go for tea every week!

This is Ralph - he's 10 weeks old and very cute indeed! I'm afraid as he was a bit groggy from having his injections today, we couldn't help making him into part of the fruit bowl after dinner. Well he had fallen asleep there as we were chatting, it'd be rude not to right?
