Auld Reekie

It can be hard for a Glaswegian to admit to having a nice day out in Edinburgh but, despite the grey skies and thick drizzle, we did.

My mum and I took the boys on the train to the capital city today, mainly to visit the castle (yes that Historic Scotland annual membership does need to be used), but we also enjoyed a number of other big city treats; like street entertainers, bagpipers and big issue sellers. It's on days like these that I realise how much my family are well and truly small towners.
