Last Remnant of Summer...
The hydrangea produces beautiful creamy, white flowers during the summer but when autumn arrives, the petals take on this lovely pink tinge that reminds me more of summer days than autumn.
Likewise, this little lupin has appeared from nowhere. The rest of the patch was all up, flowered and collapsed by the end of August. When I saw them this morning they reminded me of the lovely summer we've had; a welcome memory in lieu of the horrendous winter that's apparently coming our way starting next month. There will be more cooking done for the freezer next week methinks!
All good here today. Ed took Alan for a long overdue haircut and David worked from home. He stops for a weeks holiday today. Woo hoo, some family time to look forward to. We have absolutely nothing planned for the weekend and I am looking forward to that :)
It's Friday Blip Pals....let's celebrate! ;-))
PS Apologies for my lack of commenting. Alan being on school hols has curtailed my online time and the horrid pain, numbness and tingling in my right hand makes typing difficult. Saw the doc yesterday and it's been confirmed as carpal tunnel syndrome so she has referred me to a specialist. Here's hoping it's not too long till the appointment comes through. It's a damn nuisance.
