Harvest day

Early morning.

Friday's harvest day for the CSA and the Saturday farmers market. Lots of pulling and cleaning, weighing and storing, and in the end cute little bushels of squash and zucchini, cherry tomatoes and cukes all on display for the CSA and everything else packed up in coolers for the market tomorrow.

I spent a good while harvesting, sorting, and cleaning about 100lbs of carrots. The carrots here on the farm are the best I've ever seen and eaten anywhere, hands down. In fact they are famous. The best on the island, even the other farmers come and buy them at the market over their own. They practically glow in a nutritious halo of orange. If you eat enough your skin will shine and glisten with that same health. I'm working on it...
