Room with a view

OK, so this is more or less the view from my tent perched on a little rise overlooking the farm.

Below is the carriage garage and a bunch of old trucks and farm equipment across from the big red barn. Pretty much where it all goes down. The milking, the feed, the stables, the hayloft, and our tack room space. Looking out on just a part of the garden below. Full of lettuce, leeks, and beets at the moment. A glimpse of the green house where pole beans are growing and onions drying and then the CSA farm stand where we harvest and store the veggies. You can even just make out the turkey mobile at the edge of the pasture beyond the barn, but the draft horses aren't in sight nor the cows, in the lower pastures out of view. The low hills of the island in the background and the scene framed in the afternoon light glinting off the late summer tall grass.

Just a glimpse. Looking out, much to be grateful for.
