Like A Teddy Bear

The Teddy Bear Bee (what a lovely name!) is a common wild Australian bee (Amegilla bombiformis) and they were out this morning gorging on the nectar produced by these Kunzeas (Myrtle family) powder-puff flowers. Yesterday's heavy rains have awakened many plants and insects, a welcome releif from the drought.
