The bedroom of my Hampstead flat
I didn't spend today here! I went to Borough Market, which is amazing and packed with people, with my friend Ruth. We walked along the south bank, had a pint at the Anchor, where Samuel Pepys watched London burn in 1666. We had dinner at the Garden Gate at the foot of Parliment hill in Hampstead. We sat and chatted with a rocket scientist on the Overground platform. And then I came home, feeling not at all lonely, not at all alone. I'm quite shocked that I can feel a part of the lives of people in a country so far from my own. I expected to feel lonely here. But I'm not. I feel at home.
