To Ponder over the Font

A day for walking to St. Judes Church in the rain.

Here you see Margaret, without whom, our Church would have ceased to function a long time ago.

There is a story that the font which Margaret is standing behind was filched from the French during or after some long forgotten campaign or other as booty and then somehow it made its way back to St. Judes.

I will research the full story because I have a feeling there is a good tale behind the it.

Mind you, I would not have wished to be the poor soul who had to carry it in his knapsack.
