I don't know how many times I have been in and out of Abergavenny Market Hall, but today for the first time I spotted this cog mechanism buried in the stonework at the entrance. It was undoubtedly winding gear for a shutter that used to come down channels to close the entrance, though it must have have been taken away long ago. How blipping makes you notice things!
