Ralph Multitasking

The wonderful thing about being grandparents at a distance is that after concentrated activity for three days when the children are well behaved because they don't often see you, the minute they become accustomed to you and start being a little stroppy you can kiss them goodbye, bade them farewell till the next time and get on the train home.

It was a joy to be part of their lives for these three days and get to know their personalities a little better. They entertained us, made us laugh, taught us patience in playing board games, made us marvel at how little they need to eat and still have energy to run about, and more than anything, helped us appreciate the easy lives we have with no small children at home.

But we will miss them and must try not to leave it so long before we see them again.
