This is what travelling to Australia with two adults, three small children, a pig, a puppy and a monkey looks like.

Three out of the five are going home, we two are visiting. We are all beyond excited. Katie woke at 4am as a result. She had an early morning bath at 415. She had written her diary by 430. She was bouncing on the bed at 445. We soon ran out of things you can do in a small travel lodge room! Thankfully breakfast was open from 530 so she ran round the dining room til our friends surfaced!

The trek through the airport was traumatic. Katie got upset at security about monkey being put through the machine, so they decided to body search me AND her. We got through the airport eventually though and Katie was the first person aboard the plane. The children were exceptional for the flights, so brilliant. They did a lot of playdoh, a bit of sleeping, a lot of eating, and they were great friends to each other. They really were a credit to take. And accordingly got spoilt mad by the staff.
