A day of two halves!

Miss H needed a trip to IKEA as she had broken several of her plates and bowls, and wanted the new ones to match her originals. For some unknown reason Mr H and I agreed to go with her. I don't think we'd thought about it being a Sunday afternoon. It was heaving, and there was no sign of any economic downturn or hardtimes. Initially I thought perhaps people were just browsing for entertainment, but then we hit the till area and saw that people were spending. However, Miss H got her replacement crockery, and I got new washing up brush!

After a restorative coffee at home, I took Reggie for a walk. Mr H had found being herded round there quite hard on his knee so he rested it at home. We had a lovely walk on Harden Moor, and saw only one other person. I indulged myself my listening to Grimethorpe Colliery band playing Holst's Moorside Suite whilst out walking ( a perfect piece of Music to listen to up on the Moor), and what with the wonderful sunshine catching the turning leaves I quickly forgot about the claustrophorbic, air conditioned nightmare of shopping, and felt fully restored.

Thanks to those that asked but last night's concert was a huge success, with the audience really enjoying it. As a performer it always lifts your performance when there is positive feedback from the audience so we all enjoyed it to. Slight lull now until we start the run in to Christmas!
