A classic!

This is a Scottish Gingerbread - and it's a classic.

Years and years ago we got the recipe for this that had been handed down in a family. We then lost it and have tried over and over to re-create it, without success.

Then I had an idea and tracked down the friend who gave us the recipe - this wasn't easy, however I managed it. Sadly she couldn't find the original and couldn't quite remember how to make it.

Then...out of the blue..this appeared in my mailbox. The recipe was uncovered during a house move.

And here it is :)
