Spiral

We had very heavy rain overnight and it was still showery this morning.
Today we decided to spent the day exploring the standing stones, cairns and stone circles of Kilmartin Glen.
So off we went and parked the car at Lady Glassary Wood and explored the Nether Largie Standing Stones.We then took the path over to the Temple Wood stones where this shot was taken.
The leftmost stone in this shot shows the spiral carved into the stone. This may indicate the possible link with Irish Passage tombs.
Lunch was taken at the Kilmartin House museum's cafe after which we took a walk back down the glen passing the huge cairns erected in the Glen.
We had a lovely time in this beautiful Glen.
Now back at the cottage and enjoying a relaxing time in front of the TV :-)
