Cup Marks Nether Largie

We weren't sure what the weather was going to be like today as we had heavy rain overnight and it was still very wet this morning.
Weather seemed to improve by late morning and we set off towards Ardfern.
We passed through the village of Ardfern and headed out towards Craignish Castle and on to Craignish Point where there are fabulous views of the North End of Jura and out to the Corryvrechan whirl pool. There is a small disused jetty here where apparently the cattle were swam to from Jura!
After admiring these beautiful views we headed back to Ardfern and had lunch at the excellent Crafty Kitchen :-)
Fed and watered we headed back to Kilmartin and in a change of plans we stopped again at the standing stones at Nether Largie then onwards across the Moine Mor and parked at the car park at Bellanoch and walked along the Crinan Canal towpath towards Crinan.
Another lovely walk along this towpath despite the few heavy rain showers.
Didn't stop at the cafe at Crinan this time but spent a short time enjoying the views from Crinan towards Jura.
Back the way we came and picked up the car and drove back to Dunadd.
Another lovely day :-)
