How to Design a Hood

For some time, my husband F and his friend have been pondering over the design for a hood for the car they have restored ,but they were pleased with this prototype today.
They still have to work out the details of how the hood will fold down, and then this wood and fabric model will have to be translated into iron and canvas!
Meanwhile, in the kitchen (raining all day again) I tried out a new cake recipe - Tropical Ginger - which they enjoyed with their cup of tea this afternoon. Not quite Bake-Off standard, but tasty all the same!
