Paris Doodle
When I had finished sorting my Paris pics I had a look at today's Google Doodle.
It commemorates the 216th anniversary of the first parachute jump. André-Jacques Garnerin descended from a hot-air balloon at 3,000 or so feet above Paris in 1797. The interactive Doodle lets you guide him safely to the ground in lots of locations, one of them actually being Paris. Love it.
I'm still in Paris mode and recognised that little curve of lead at the roof line. I've put my Cézanne print behind as the 'naughty ladies in a place of pleasure' wine that we so enjoyed while away came from the foothills of his beloved Mont Ventoux.
