Alder(crow)man

Lovely walk around Seventy Acres Lake in bright sunshine this afternoon.

I shot a newly installed bench in memory of a couple with a fresh floral tribute on it. It was engraved, "The scenery is beautiful the peacefulness is best Sit here enjoy it and have a little rest."

Got some nice autumnal shots of a narrowboat negotiating Cheshunt Lock and some fairy fungi catching the evening rays at Hooks Marsh.

I have decided to post this crow sitting on an alder on an island in the lake. I had never encountered these trees until I started visiting Fishers Green with my new 100-400mm at the turn of the year. Then they were beautifully tinged with purple. The alder is now one of my favourite trees.
