Rainbow roses?

I went to the store today in search of some fresh flowers for the table tomorrow. It is my turn to host our book club luncheon and I love fresh flowers on the table when guests arrive, even if I end up moving them off the table to eat.

I was looking for something autumnal and low key when I spotted these multi-colored roses. I had my granddaughter with me and she let out a gasp of *wow* when I picked them up. To her they were the prettiest flowers she had ever seen. The only reason I even picked them up was that I did not think they were real. They were! As much as my granddaughter would have liked me to buy them (for her), I decided to Blip them and put them back. I ended up finding something much more to my liking although I do have to say I wonder how they managed to do this very colorful arrangement of roses without it affecting the actual flowers.

I was under strict instruction from my daughter not to let my granddaughter fall asleep too late in the afternoon since she had to get to bed early tonight. For this reason, I had to sing all the way home from the market in the car. The radio would have put her right out. It had to be something she wanted to sing along with also. So repeatedly, we sang the Sesame Street Theme song. OMG, I think I nearly lost my voice by the time we got home. Each chorus we sang got louder and more enthusiastic. People driving by that passed us must have wondered what was going on. She did NOT fall asleep though and so my job was successful. I of course am the one who needs the nap now!
