The docks after the rain

.........and before a lot more rain no doubt!

OH's birthday today and wonder upon wonder he managed to get this evening off work so we hot footed it down to Ocean Terminal to the pictures!

This was a view out of the cinema window before we went in. There has been a phenominal amount of rain over the past few days and you can see the results from the amount of puddles in that bit of waste ground out front. Cailleach you would have had a great time with your wellies in those big babies!

We saw the new film Captain Phillips where Tom Hanks plays the captain of a ship which gets hijacked by Somali pirates. OH half has been wanting to see it since seeing the trailers a few weeks ago.
A pretty grim film it has to be said and I came out feeling a bit dazed by what i'd seen. It was good and I did enjoy it (if enjoy is the correct word) although I don't think i'll be watching it again.

It wasn't late when we got out but I was knackered and ended up going to bed at 9pm (after Great British Bake Off final). This is officially the earliest I have been to bed in months (and also the reason i'm having to back blip this)
