What's the weather, cock?

I hadn't ever spotted this before but stopped down by the Water of Leith on the way back to work at lunchtime and spotted the wind shining dazzlingly off this cockerel.
The clock was over an hour fast so god knows whether the weather vane was even pointing correctly as it was extremely blowy today.

It's midnight and my eyes are continuously shutting so i'm going to have to turn in,
