Chilly

First time since June to savour the exquisite pleasures of cosiness.

Half an hour to sunset, drenched in heavy shower, pierced by chill wind, wading through mud, water, rocks. The presence of mind to have turned the heating up high before going out and to have hot soup waiting.

I'm a huge fan of cosiness and soup, preferably home made. But I also have a taste for Ainsley Harriott's instant soup - Szechuan Hot and Sour, and Aromatic Thai Style Chicken and Lemongrass. Sometimes nothing else will do.

I'd love to hear your cold weather indulgences, recipes etc.

Time to think 'layers' (not enough today).
