A National Treasure

No, not the meerkat though I am fond of him but rather the radio. I don't listen to the radio often enough and in too many cases I just catch it in the car and it can be so interesting.

Today I heard the end of an episode of a serial about crime and corruption in the East End of London after the war and later caught part of the BBC's Scottish culture programme. They had an updated version of Auden's Night Mail, the music not the words and a piece about a sculpting family. That's what I love about the radio- its serendipity.
