A Rather Marvellous Heron ...

As I had to take mum to the dentist this afternoon ('I'm 86 and have all my own teeth' ..) I headed to Sunk Island for a quick jaunt before lunch.

It was beautifully sunny - perfect for photography, and this heron was quite happy for me to sit in my van and take endless photos of him.

I also saw a rather lovely curlew ..
