Isaac woke at 5.45. Chris left for work at 6.30. Chris came home at 6.30.

One long day!

Amelie had a good morning then we made sticky marmalade cake whilst Isaac was napping after lunch and that is when things went downhill. To be honest, she hadn't been listening all morning (the root of all problems I think) and then there was icing everywhere, she had brought her duvet into the living room, Isaac woke up quite early and was still grumpy and we had a pretty bad few hours. It took me ages to get them both ready to go out to do some jobs (it is so much easier to leave the house in summer) and then they were both tired when we got home, except Amelie was a little high from the sugar of all the icing she pinched whilst I was trying to clean it up. I somehow managed to make dinner, feed them dinner, tidy everywhere and bath Isaac before Chris got home. And Amelie was playing really nicely in her room with her trains (regular brio trains but she was pretending they were thomas and emily). So today was a bit like a really awful disgusting filling in a sandwich made with excellent bread.

I predict I will be asleep in one hour.
