Rattray Head, Loch of Strathbeg
Miles and miles of beautiful beach on a beautiful day and the most thigh knackering dunes to get lost in, which we did, covered in fox and badger tracks and beside the Loch of Strathbeg reserve. Seals, peregrine, birds of all varieties and foxes, nature boy was wild with wonder and Tess was on a similar high, especially the 80ft sheer drop dune she slid bum first all the way down. Good place to forget worries and other folks demands for a while and to get totally lost in the moment. Drive Back in darkness via the massive St Fegus gas terminal that looks like the New York skyline or a scene from blade runner in the dark.
