He's playing on the Play Station, on his Ipad, checking his phone every 10 seconds, reading The Economist and keeping his trousers in that gravity defying position all at the same time.

This is the best I am going to do at Blipping David, he is a reluctant subject. After tonight I won't see him for a full week, the longest time I'll ever have gone away from him. I am not bothered really, I know he'll be fine and if I am honest I am more upset about being apart from my canine pal.

So tomorrow we are off the city widely regarded as the best place in the world to live.
