The Long Road Home
We got up when the alram clocks went off today. Time to pack and tidy and load the car. We did squeeze in a quick visit to the standing stones in Kilmartin Glen before setting out on the long road home. I am sure I don't have to tell you that we would rather have stayed :-)
We drove round to Inverary and stopped the for a walk round. Maeve the Deerhound is fond of a walk in Inverary. She usually meets someone who wants to make friends. We also like to visit the Stable Gallery and get the Scottish Artists Calendar for the coming year.
Along Glen Lochy the light was hitting one of the hills so we stopped in a small car park (for walkers) and took a few photos. Not far from Tyndrum, where we stopped at The Green Welly Stop. Almost everyone does !
Onwards via Crainlarich, Loch Earn, St Fillans, Crombie, Crieff, by Perth and then to Dundee where we stopped for petrol then at M&S where we found it was a Dine in for Two weekend ... a nice way to end the day.
... and so we are back in Carnoustie.
Until the next time :-)
