Kayaks

13.6C some sunny spells and some showers. Breezy.

Early morning grocery shopping trip. When we came out of the supermarket we decided to go to Broughty Ferry and have a walk round.

When we walked up by the lifeboat pier we could see the lifeboat and the inshore boat out in the Estuary. There were several kayaks drifting seawards beside the two boats. On two occasions kayaks were brought aboard the lifeboat. I hope it was an exercise rather than a rescue. I liked the colours against the very grey water.

Before lunch we took Maeve the Deerhound for a walk. Since it was brighter we went up past the church, down the field with the bridle path, along the cycle path, and back up home. The coastal views are so different than the ones we enjoyed all last week. Out to the East there is only sea. No land at all. I do prefer an island or two, or a sea loch.
