Roary Club
It was so good to be back at home at 'the Lane' this afternoon, after missing the last two Home games.
We hosted Worthing on another superb, mild day. I rocked up extra early to hand out leaflets, advertising the Roary Club that we are launching in a couple of weeks, to fellow supporters.
Then my Dad & I were treated to a pretty good performance by our lads. It was a little bit touch & go when the visitors equalised 1-1 with us & then monopolised possession for quite a while but our star striker, who scores goals when he wants, brought his magic to the game and scored two cracking, clinical, confident goals & a penalty, in his usual composed style.
This Blip shows Roary, our mascot, trying to join in with a Ross Allen goal celebration, albeit a tad late, bless!
A great game to come back to with a 4-1 W & loving singing along with our Trumpet man & Drummer. Red coloured football strips always makes us Guerns suspicious as to whether or not they are Jersey FC in disguise, & with Worthing wearing red&white, that's what we sang, & then this brings on a verse of "I'd rather be a Donkey than a Toad"! Rather ironic that a couple of hours later I greet my Jersey born Nephew off the plane who is visiting us for the next few days, hehe!
After typing all of this, Ollie has just asked me: "who actually reads this?"... Good point, dear, I will leave it there:-)
