Hang in there!

Today all the trees got the message to drop their leaves! There were huge flurries of leaves falling and flying when Liza and I were out on our scoot, it was delightful, but hard to capture in a photo. So I opted for this lone leaf captured by a web strand. It was dancing in the breeze this morning.

It looks like our sunny weather will be changing in the next few days, and it's forecast to be quite cold at night. A lot of the flowers in the neighborhood have had a second wind and are blooming again, but they're about to have a rude awakening. And all those leaves on the ground? Oy, what a mess that will be. But for now, I'm enjoying the sound and smell of the brittle leaves as they're walked and scooted and ridden upon. Fall really is my favorite season.
