Dear Photo Diary

Shoe on the other foot

Seriously, wedding photographers are so rude, sitting there spoiling my view for the entire ceremony...

Today I was a guest at my old friend Rob's wedding to Rachel, which took place in Hereford Cathedral. It was a bit of an early start to get up, get dolled up, get to the airport, fly to Bristol, hire a car and drive almost 2 hours to the ceremony, but of course it was worth it. At the last minute, my ex decided not to go, so although there were a couple of familiar faces I was seated at a table full of (lovely) strangers. When my friend Beaker heard that I was alone, he drove over 70 miles to crash the evening reception and keep me company, so I had someone to dance with at the ceilidh! (and we burned up that dancefloor...)

It's always strange being a guest at a wedding, I tried to ignore the photographers but it's impossible not to look at them every so often, thinking "hmmm interesting lens choice" or "ooh I wouldn't bounce my flash there" :)
