Yet More Autumn Colours
I really must stop taking pictures of leaves, however the autumn colours at the moment are too amazing to ignore.
The day started with breakfast at Aboyne, after which we went along the South Deeside Road from roughly Ballater to Crathes Castle. Along this stretch of road we had to stop to admire two young deer that were just behind a fence watching the car. We stared at each other without moving for a few moments. Then the engine which had shut off when I stopped, restarted so they ran off. We saw several pheasant families, and had to slow down to give them a chance to get out of the way.
Arriving at Crathes Castle we went down to the Walled Garden. I took this photo from the front lawn looking into the Walled Garden. A short time later it was starting to rain so we took cover in the cafe. We left when there was an invasion of witches and their followers of all ages.
