The calm before the storm

My lavender is still in flower which is a bit bizarre.
I feel very sorry for all those people who will be affected by the storm tonight. I have already seen some blips of very angry seas and torrential rains. I have just watched the news and seen horrendous scenes from across the south west. My thoughts are with SwillinBilly, David, Crispin and Callie in particular.
Here in the Thames Valley we seem to be protected from the worst of the weather. We get bad weather but not really bad weather.At the moment it is raining but not in the least windy. We will just have to see what tomorrow brings.
