From the dark corner.....

Not quite on the wild side....

This is probably the earliest Blipfoto I have taken. Feeling restless, I wandered up the road in my pyjamas. With my long boots on and a dark coat over the top, I don't think I looked too much like an escaped hospital patient from an institution for the criminally insane. Let's face it, there were no other nutters people wandering about at that time. It was just before 1:30am and on a Monday morning it was very quiet. I didn't go far. I only went round the corner onto Racecourse Road, wandered past the Savoy Park Hotel and took the shot looking back towards it. It wasn't raining anyway and it was wonderfully quiet and still out there which is the complete opposite to how it was the day before and indeed how it was once daylight arrived again later.

I had a slight moment of panic when I couldn't find my keys and had visions of having to ring the doorbell at that hour! That's the trouble when you wear a different coat to normal. The pockets are always in the wrong place. After a bit of frantic rummaging, I found my keys and let myself in cursing the wind chimes I'd bought mom years before which dad had hung on the inside of the door. I fell asleep quickly once I got back into bed.

After my shower a few hours later, I cleared up all the leaves of Savoy Park I seemed to have brought into the house.

It was a very quiet day work wise. Being half term week back in England, I reckon loads of people were off on leave for the week. Hardly any help desk calls came through. I even started working on a promotions and transfers report I'd been putting off for ages. I dropped it like a hot potato as soon as a list of new starters came through from HR and I started to set their Oracle accounts up.

That was it! Nothing else happened! Thank you to everyone who contributed to the great sausage debate yesterday. I have come to the conclusion that we all like different shapes and sizes and there is no clear winner. I had a pork chop and jacket spud today for dinner. Very nice too! It wasn't burnt either.

Track? I should have put this one yesterday after the news of Lou Reed's sad demise came though but here we are - A Walk On The Wild Side
