I can clap my hands....

Poorly babba was awake every couple of hours last night. She took ages to get to sleep, but then just couldn't settle for long. She's so bunged up and snotty, plus the joys of teething too. She did have an hours sleep at lunchtime today, which she hadn't had the last 2 days, so that was a promising sign, I hope.

When we woke up this morning, Mike had sorted the cats before he left for work, bless him, so I just pulled Eva into bed and we had cuddles and giggles. When I'm not trying to make her go to sleep she's actually been relatively cheerful, so we had a lovely time snuggled up together this morning. I was singing nursery rhymes to her and tickling her and this is when she clapped her hands. I couldn't believe it. I had only just been chatting to Lisa on Facebook, and she was telling me that Daisy had started waving and clapping, when Eva clapped her hands too! So bizarre! She did it a few times, not very loudly, but she definitely did it. So cute.

Eva has also found a new fascination with her tongue today, and kept sticking it out and trying to hold it. Lol.

Jake is off school as it's half term, and this afternoon we watched Pitch Perfect. I wondered how much of it we'd actually get to properly watch, but Eva was watching it too hehe. She even did a bit of bouncing up and down to some of the songs.

She has let me blow her nose today, whereas before she just kept trying to push me away. I've also been continuing with the baby saline nasal stuff. Just hope she doesn't get a sore little nose. I might thoroughly rub some sudocrem around her nose tomorrow saying that.

She didn't want her dinner tonight. So I lay her across my lap and just gave her milk instead. She fell asleep for about 20 minutes and was snoring away with her little bunged up nose. Not long after, I carried her up for her bath as she was so tired. She had another big milk feed, got lots of burps up, and I just lay there in the dark with her on the bed. I think she was fighting her tiredness as she was kicking her little legs in the air and kept looking at me. I was pretending to be asleep and just kept opening my one eye ever so slightly to see what she was doing, and had to try not to laugh. I carried her into her own bed eventually, and put her My Pal Violet on to play 10 minutes of bedtime music, and crept out the room. I looked on the camera at her 10 minutes later, and My Pal Violet was lying across her face and she fast asleep underneath. I looked again a few minutes later and she'd moved her to the side of her and was still fast asleep.

I wonder how she'll be tonight..... Xxx
