But Mommy I can't sleep :-(

Poor, tired babba :-(

Strangely enough, once Eva went to sleep last night, she only woke twice in the night, and after a short feed and cuddles, went straight back to sleep each time. She woke around 8.15 this morning, it's nearly 11pm as I write this, and she's still not properly been back to sleep since. She had cuddles on my lap around 5pm and drifted off for 15 minutes, and she was in bed by 7.30 pm, but she just nods off for a bit and is back awake crying again. She now won't have any calpol either, so if she is in pain, I can't get any medicine into her. I managed to squirt bit at a time into her mouth earlier, and just wiped it away as she spat it back out. Her cheeks are rosy, she's very bunged up so can't feed effectively, and she's obviously in pain still from her teeth. The only thing that seems to work to help her is cuddles at the moment, or playing lol, but she really needs to sleep now. She's hardly had any sleep since she woke at 8.15 this morning, and didn't sleep much yesterday either.

I was lying on the bed with her this afternoon, during one of my attempts to settle her for a nap. She got my finger, put it in her mouth to chomp down on, then took it out, and with her little hand, pushed my pointed finger into my own mouth to do the same, then pulled it back towards her mouth again. She did this, back and forth, about 5 or 6 times from her mouth to mine, and back again. Each time it got to me, I went "om nom nom nom nom" which made her laugh. It was such a lovely moment, but at the same time as if she was telling me how much her mouth was hurting.

I should have taken her for her 4 weekly weigh today, but what with the weather report saying we were due storms, and Eva's cold, I decided to stay at home in the warm. She's 37 weeks old today.

I really hope she's feeling better tomorrow. Hate seeing her like this xxxx
