Reunited
Man,y many years ago, when I first moved to Wales, I had a pottery in Maentwrog where I decorated plates, bowls and tiles . Tourists visited the pottery, watched me decorate, and then hopefully would buy a plate or two. I ran the pottery for four or five years and in that time I must have decorated thousands of plates. I kept two or three, but the rest were sold, or disappeared.
Last week my neighbour Jill, who can never resist a second hand shop or a car boot sale spotted a plate that she liked. She brought it home, curious about the little paper label on the back with my name on it.
You have guessed! It was one of my plates and we are now reunited after all those years. I did once see one on the TV, during an interview in someone's home - it was on a mantlepiece. I wonder how many more have survived.
