High wire act
Due to feeling under the weather today, I did not drive up north to the big lake for the annual gourmet feast on my friend's beach. Bummer.
Instead, I did absolutely nothing. Wonderful, relaxing, blissful nothing. Wait, that's not true. I saw the moon rise again a while ago, further north than Thursday night.
Trying to find a clear view of the skyline is tricky but I ended up in a park with trails that I could follow to get out from behind the trees. No joggers were startled by me tonight, the only life around was a group of kids shooting hoops in the near dark, some late night barbecuers and some hungry mosquitoes.
Nothing like getting bitten on the ankles when you're trying to hold the camera steady, I finally found a covered trash can to prop the camera up on and enabled the self timer shutter release.
Upon downloading I found that the big yellow ball was doing a balancing act on the top power line. I also realized that it was a great HDR opportunity missed. I blame it on the mosquitoes.
