A village farewell

The last cars pull away from the village hall as it begins to get dark.

This afternoon we have said goodbye to a loved and respected member of our village community, with a packed memorial service at our church and a gathering of family, friends and villagers afterwards.
"He loved village life" and certainly took his part. We will always remember this true gentleman.
