Blood and Ice
Half marathon coming up and my training has not been great. Decided to have a trail run on the way back home today. I fell six steps into my run, yes, SIX. I wasn't even to the trailhead yet as I parked down the road about a half mile. Smashed up both knees through my brand new pants, and skinned my elbow that had just finished healing from my bike crash earlier this season. Apparently I needed more scars. I tried to finish the run, but the trail got much too icy to run - only got in about 2 miles of walk/run/skate.
My knees stiffening up in the car on the rest of the drive home was fun. Have some nice large bumps on my knees now. Fits perfectly in my training plan!
