A day of two halves - sunny and bright this morning followed by very heavy rain late this afternoon - timed perfectly to soak me as I left a meeting! A special day today as it is my niece Emily's 7th birthday - hopefully I will get to speak with her on the phone this evening - once she has finished scaring her friends with her Halloween fairy outfit! I thought the orange glow of these beech leaves rather appropriate for Halloween.
