Crazy snooker
It was a wet morning so to keep two teenage boys entertained I resorted to a bit of fun I used to have with my sister when we were young, crazy snooker. A complicated challenge made from toy bricks (70 years old?) and anything else we could find. Kitchen tongs, folding ruler, napkin rings, a plate stand and many other bits and pieces, all brought into use to be negotiated round a tortuous route by a large marble, using a wooden spoon as a cue. It got very competitive, especially when the boys' parents arrived for the day. After heats and finals, the boys' father, our son J, emerged the champion.
Now the've all gone home and it is very quiet.
